General Information:

Edgeley Park is a football and rugby union purpose stadium. The stadium was initially built for the rugby league club Stockport in 1901, but by 1902, the rugby club was defunct and in the same year, Stockport County Football Club, who were looking for a bigger ground, moved into Edgeley Park and converted it into a football stadium. Edgeley Park is an all-seater stadium, holding around 10,800 spectators. Home to Stockport County for 109 years, the stadium is now shared with Sale Sharks, a rugby union club. The stadium is built on Hardcastle Road, in the Edgeley area of Stockport.

A Fans View:

Mark White adds; 'Stockport station's entrance has recently been modernised, and now has a new main entrance that you are sign posted to from the platforms. This is on the opposite side of the station from the ground. If you find yourself in the ticket hall with a taxi rank in front of you, go back into the station through the subways under the platforms, then follow the directions above'.
